This page explains how HEMA Competition Tools uses data retrieved from HEMA Ratings in the context of tournament management.
The Service may retrieve limited data from the HEMA Ratings API for tournament-related purposes. This data may include:
If a participant does not provide their HEMA Ratings ID, the Service may use participant information (such as name and club, provided by the organizer or participant) to search the HEMA Ratings database in order to identify and assign the correct ID.
Ranking and rating data may be temporarily retrieved and processed to generate balanced tournament pools. Only the final pool results are stored in the Service.
Stored HEMA Ratings IDs may be used to prepare and export tournament results back to HEMA Ratings when applicable.
Data is stored using secure infrastructure and is accessible only to authorized users such as tournament organizers and administrators. Reasonable safeguards are implemented to protect data against unauthorized access.
Tournament organizers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions, and consent to use participant information in combination with HEMA Ratings data.
The Service does not sell or commercially exploit HEMA Ratings data. Data is used strictly for tournament management and related features.
HEMA Competition Tools is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to HEMA Ratings. All data accessed remains subject to HEMA Ratings' own terms and policies.
Participants may request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting the tournament organizer or by emailing contact@hema-tools.com.
